You know you're getting old when you want to sit down at a concert. Ha. The Mr. and I went and saw Robert Randolph over the weekend in Charleston. Robert Randolph, let's check you out above. For those of you who don't know...Robert Randolph is an extremely talented and famous pedal steel guitarist. In all honesty I was dreading the fact that the concert may last long because I get tired of standing and dancing for long periods of time. I'm laughing as I'm typing this because I'm not even 30! I simply can't stand that long (and next to the speaker). Give me a chair, or I've got to walk laps around the building. Tragic. So very tragic.
Later during the show and little to my surprise...I was invited on stage. Take another looky look at the photo above. See the blonde with the hand raised in the middle of the picture. Oh yeah......meet the Mrs. Such the diva. How could I turn down an opportunity to get up on stage at a concert.....with Robert Randolph..in front of hundreds of people? (I would say 1000's because that would paint a nice picture for those imagining this). Did I mention that I'm not shy about these sort of things? I certainly did not have stage fright. It was awesome.
So, in a nutshell, I actually didn't sit down until the very end. Hey, it was 1 am and the concert started at 9pm. So proud and so much fun!
Your old friend,
The Mrs.
